Zionists seeking to erase every trace of Islam, Christianity

TEHRAN, Mar. 30 (MNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf condemns Israel’s move to block Palm Sunday in Beit-ul-Moqaddas, saying the Zionist regime is attempting to erase every trace of Islam and Christianity.

In a post on his X account on Monday, Ghalibaf said the Zionist regime’s move comes as the feast was held in three Iranian cities in spite of heavy bombing of civilians amid the continued US-Israeli war of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“Palm Sunday masses were held yesterday in Tehran, Tabriz and Urmia despite Israel’s brutal bombing of civilians.”

He pointed out, however, that the Christian population in the occupied territories has dropped from 12.5% before 1945 to only 1% at present.

“Zionism is trying to erase every trace of Islam and Christianity,” he said.
